Not only are you paying for a professional photographer who has invested many years training and experience and the investment in top of the range equipment which requires replacing and servicing but also the time taken to produce your photographs. "But you only work for about 8 hours on the day don't you?" I wish that was the case! The average wedding takes between 40 and 50 hours of work from consultation, pre-wedding photoshoot, The wedding day, two days of editing, building the album and admin.
Yes, you can get a 'friend who has a camera' to shoot your wedding and save yourself a few pounds but are they insured and what price your friendship when they have to work on your wedding day? Do they have an identical back-up camera? Do they know where to be at certain times? etc.

Pre wedding consultation visit
Pre-wedding 2 hour photoshoot at a venue of your choice.
All day photography from bride getting ready to first dance.
Online private gallery (this is coded so that only you and your guests can view it. You can of course give this code to any of your friends and family)
